Poetry, Persian manuscript on cream paper, 5 fly-leaves, 464 folios, 12 lines per page, written in black nasta'liq, sometimes arranged in three columns with gold and black intercolumnar rules, important words and phrases picked out in gold and blue, headings in gold and blue within gold and polychrome illuminated panels, text set within a gold and polychrome-ruled frame, catchwords, opening bifolio with illuminated headpiece, four further bifolios with gold and polychrome illuminated headpiece in clouds reserved against gold and polychrome ground, numerous Qajar illustrations within the text panels, with colophon and later added owner's notes, brown Morocco binding with gilt and blind stamp, brown leather doublures
