LEU, DANIEL, LONDON, A COACH CLOCK WITH THREE CASES, FOR OTTOMAN MARKET, 1785 Consisting of three cases: the first a wooden case adorned with intricate ornamental inlays, featuring Arabic characters on the verso reading “Obaid Nahat and Sons, Damascus” and a ligated monogram “DL” on the lid, the second a tortoiseshell with silver piquet floral motifs and sound holes along the edges, the third case crafted from silver with flower heads in openwork design and finely engraved foliage on the verso with the marker’s mark “WW” presumably for William West, Jerusalem Court, St. John’s Square, an enamel dial with turquoise numerals and embellishments of white and pink rhinestones, complemented by welded steel hands; the movement, situated between two gilded brass plates, bearing the signature “3512 Daniel De St. Leu Watchmaker to her Majesty London” on the back panel, the brass train comprising a verge movement with a circular balance, spring balance with chain and fusee, a bell mounted in the case bottom, featuring Petite Sonnerie striking quarter hours and full hours, accompanied by a chatelaine with a winding key 16cm long 11.5cm long Chatelaine 49.5cm long

A LATE 19TH CENTURY ANGLO – INDIAN UNMARKED SILVER PARCEL GILT SMALL WATER BOTTLE (SURAHI), LUCKNOW CIRCA 1870, Raj period, of globular form with a tall tapering tri-lobed neck with plain knop above a section of acanthus leaves, all upon a collet foot. The removable domed lid fixed by a chain attached underneath the knop. The body with finely flat chased decoration of arabesques scrolls and rosettes between bands of palmettes, below the chased acanthus leaves a band of trailing fruiting vine. Gilt interior. Height – 15.9 cm Weight – 116 grams

A MAN ON CAMEL BACK, GIOVANNI BARBARO, 19TH CENTURY PAINTING A water coloured picture with later frame 89,5 x 47,5 cm, Inside passporte 73 X 30.5 CM Framed by framers workshop 200 Washington St. Brooklyn, MASS.02146 1-617-734-4995, with wire hanging Giovanni Barbaro was an extremely popular Italian artist during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods. It is generally accepted that his prolific period was between 1890 and 1907. He lived in London and Bath and exhibited at The Royal Academy, The Royal Institute, The Royal Society of British Artists on Suffolk Street and the New Watercolour Society. His still-life subjects were fruits, flowers, birds and fish but he also painted many Egyptian desert and street scenes which displayed the exotic side of his personality.
