The Gardens of Purity is a Persian-language history of the beginnings of Islam, early Islamic civilization, and Persian history written by M. R. Khvnd. It includes biographies of prophets, monarchs, and caliphs.The manuscript was initially finished in seven volumes in the year 1497 AD; the eighth volume includes an index of locations. The work is quite scholarly; Mr. Khvnd used twenty-two important Persian histories, nineteen important Arabic histories, and other sources that he occasionally quoted. His writings served as the foundation for numerous subsequent histories, including those by Hajj Khalfah. Source: Wikipedia
