The rectangular panel formed of four square tiles and 4 rectangular tiles, the white ground painted in turquoise, green, cobalt-blue and bole-red with curved vines issuing large palmettes, tulips, carnations and red and blue hyacinths, 120 x 20,5 cm
A rectangular border tile, the cobalt-blue ground painted in turquoise and light red within black outlines with a design of meandering flowers and palmette vine intertwined with meandering saz leaf tendrils, rim chips, possibly reduced at one side

The Sultan Ahmed Mosque, better known as the Blue Mosque, in Istanbul, was built by the Ottoman sultan Ahmed I (r. 1603-1617), between 1609-1617. The mosque was designed by court architect Sedefkâr Mehmed Agha and its interior decoration was supervised by the Ottoman court artist Kalender Cavush
