A COLLECTION OF OFFICIAL LETTERS AND CORRESPONDENCES BETWEEN IRAN AND SAUDI ARABIA, INCLUDING A LETTER FROM KING ABDULAZIZ AS SULTAN OF NAJD
A collection of official letters and correspondences exchanged between Iran and Saudi Arabia, consisting of 11 folios, accompanied by a painting, most likely the romantic interest of Arabian Lawrence.
On January 29, 1927, King Abdulaziz, who ruled as the Sultan of Nejd, was formally crowned as the King of the Hejaz in the revered Masjid al-Haram in Makkah. This significant occasion also marked the elevation of Nejd to the status of a kingdom. The letter included in this lot is a correspondence from King Abdulaziz during his reign as the Sultan of Najd to Iran, making it of profound historical significance.
