Consisting of three cases: the first a wooden case adorned with intricate ornamental inlays, featuring Arabic characters on the verso reading “Obaid Nahat and Sons, Damascus” and a ligated monogram “DL” on the lid, the second a tortoiseshell with silver piquet floral motifs and sound holes along the edges, the third case crafted from silver with flower heads in openwork design and finely engraved foliage on the verso with the marker’s mark “WW” presumably for William West, Jerusalem Court, St. John’s Square, an enamel dial with turquoise numerals and embellishments of white and pink rhinestones, complemented by welded steel hands; the movement, situated between two gilded brass plates, bearing the signature “3512 Daniel De St. Leu Watchmaker to her Majesty London” on the back panel, the brass train comprising a verge movement with a circular balance, spring balance with chain and fusee, a bell mounted in the case bottom, featuring Petite Sonnerie striking quarter hours and full hours, accompanied by a chatelaine with a winding key
