"Manuscript on paper, 201 folios, 11 lines per page, calligraphed in black ink in elegant nasta'liq, text set within two columns, beautiful frontispiece on the first page, colophon signed by Muhammad ibn Mulla Mir and dated Rajab 998H/May-June 1590, included five expansive full-page later miniatures, framed by floral margins enriched with captivating bestiary motifs in Safavid style, the central rosette (shamse) within the text, in a splendid Safavid binding in brown morocco leather, with a flap, decorated with a central medallion with golden spandrels, the interior binding boards with openwork leather and coloured paper, a few pages missing, with some wear, traces of water, stains, binding with some restoration
A fine Safavid Iran (Herat) nasta'liq diwan manuscript dated May-June 1590, with five later Safavid style paintings"
