Arabic manuscript on pink paper, 5 lines of sepia maghrib script, diacritics in gold outlined with black, shaddah and sukun marked in blue, hamza al kat’marked in gold and hamza al’wasl marked in sepia dots, verses marked with two gold roundels and one polychrome and gold trefoil, two lines surah heading in gold Kufic reserved on scrolling branches and issuing a roundel into the margin, with the inscription indicates Macci sura, upper margin with punched inventory inscription, trimmed, overall very good condition
Similar folios from the same Qur’an manuscript sold in the Auctions and displaying at Museums and private collections while the sura headings are rare.

215 folios, formerly in the collection of Maréchal Lyautey were sold at the Hotel Georges V, Paris, 30 October 1975, lot 488, and quickly appeared at Auction Houses."
