A CARVED WOODEN BOX, EARLY 20TH CENTURY, INDIA, Of rectangular form, featuring intricate carvings depicting Indian deities on the exterior within an oval cartouche, embellished with leafy branches; both sides of the box showcasing artistic renditions of peacocks, with parrots flanking the lock mechanism; the interior luxuriously lined with violet velvet, the lid featuring a carved cartouche bearing the inscription 'A HUMBLE TOKEN OF GRATITUDE TO REV J. MCKENZIE-CHILION’
