AN ENGRAVED BRASS ORNAMENT, Fashioned in the form of an astrolabe, showcasing intricately engraved Qur'anic inscriptions set against a vegetal background, the inscriptions notably featuring Surah al-Ikhlas, with "Allah" positioned at the top and "Muhammad" at the centre. Additionally, Urdu cardinal points, including al-Mashriq, al-Maghrib, al-Shamal, and al-Janoob, are skillfully incorporated, two suspension loops suggesting it may constitute the initial layer of an astrolabe, evidenced by the presence of a sealed central aperture.
