Of square form, raised on bracket feet, the hinged lid finely chased in monabbat-kari technique with a dynamic battle scene, likely depicting Bahram V, framed by arabesques and foliate scroll vignettes. The edges of the sides are further embellished with delicate peony and scroll motifs, demonstrating the finesse of Isfahan craftsmanship.
Marked to the interior corner of the lid with the workshop mark رضا and standard mark (۸۴).
