A MAGHRIB COMPLETE QUR’AN, NORTH AFRICA, 18TH/19TH CENTURY
Arabic manuscript on paper, 298 folio,11 lines of fine sepia Maghrib script, sura headings in gold outlined with black, text outlined with red and blue rules, with gold and polychrome palmette extensions to the margin , opening heading attractively illuminated with gold and multicoloured ink, opening text sura Al-Fatiha written in gold, ending with verse of dua in a rectangular large cartouche illuminated with leaves and extensions to the margin, brown leather Moroccan binding, doublured with damson color paper, central and borders tooled and gilted, with flap.
