A LATE 19TH CENTURY ANGLO – INDIAN UNMARKED SILVER PARCEL GILT SMALL WATER BOTTLE (SURAHI), LUCKNOW CIRCA 1870, Raj period, of globular form with a tall tapering tri-lobed neck with plain knop above a section of acanthus leaves, all upon a collet foot. The removable domed lid fixed by a chain attached underneath the knop. The body with finely flat chased decoration of arabesques scrolls and rosettes between bands of palmettes, below the chased acanthus leaves a band of trailing fruiting vine. Gilt interior.
