IRAN, 17TH CENTURY. Arabic manuscript on buff paper, 28+4 folios, seven lines of black muhaqqaq script, gold and polychrome roundels between each verse, gold sura headings setin illuminated cartouches, gold and polychrome marginal medallions, the word Allah in gold, gold and polychrome illuminated opening bifolio, text written in muhaqqaq with alternating gold and black ink, setin clouds, gilded and tooled brown leather binding, decoupe arabesque doublures, with flap, some water stains and conserved worm holes, overall good condition.
