Muhammad Ibn Muhammad Baqqal copied two Shahnamehs dated between AH 868 /1463 and AH 885 /1480, preserved in the Topkapi Saray Library and the Chester Beatty Library respectively (A Catalogue of the Persian Manuscripts and Miniatures. Vol.II. MSS. 151-220, Dublin, 1960, Pers 157, pp. 9-11). A square stamp on the flyleaf: Rawshan al-Dawlah Mubariz al-Mulk Richard Vital Ratin As'ad Bahadur Sabit Jang 32, belongs to Richard Whytell Rotton (d. 1810).
